Yassa Shrimp

Rice and shrimp will never be boring again.

  1. Preheat oven to 375°
  2. Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a sauce pan, add rice, cover and reduce heat to low. Turn off heat after 20 minutes or after all water has been absorbed into rice.
  3. Arrange shrimp on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Cook until shells turn pink. For larger shrimp/prawns such as those in the photo, this may take up to 10 minutes. For smaller shrimp, this could take 3-4 minutes.
  4. While shrimp are cooking, pour Yassa Onion Sauce into a sauce pan and heat on the stove or pour into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in microwave.
  5. Place cooked rice on a large serving platter, top with warm sauce and cooked shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve family-style.
